You are welcome to ????? Read it backwards. Yes, you got it! You are welcome to nowhere. It is fun to be nowhere, but it requires some efforts, that you already realise by now. Have you read Erewhon? I came to know about it in mid 80's, when working on a school project tabulating Hindi/English books names and authors.

I am sandeep - sole resident of this erehwon, as outside world knows me. I like meeting new people and understand myself and this world a little more each time. For quite some time now, I have this wish to also work with some organisation for kids and rural issues and get involved with things other than computers. I firmly believe that God never gives us any problem w/o solution, it's only that we often don't know what we have.

I am looking forward to get in touch with like-minded people from different fields who have visions beyond routine life and are passionate about their visions, who love to explore and do different things and differently. I myself have a penchant for same and am a generalist, as you may explore in erehwon.

I have been working in computers field since 1995 and have worked for software industry on project basis or as a consultant, but I am also interested in use of technology for common man's benefit in day to day life and would love to contribute in non-computers related developments as well, putting to use the knowhow in mechanical, civil, food processing and agricultural engineering from graduation days. Past couple of years I have primarily worked in embedded systems area on multicore and network processor architectures, but I would love to explore other areas in this field as well. If you are looking for a person with blend of research and engineering mind, a designer and not just coder, let's meet sometime.

Currenly I am teaching Computer Graphics course at PUCSD. Previous semester I taught Database Management Systems there, and came closer to the interesting problems of audio/video searching and Internet Archive.

My homepage has simple looks! Well... it reflects me. I myself prefer web pages that load faster and can give relevant information even with simple text based browsers like lynx/links. If pop-up ads (free gifts that come along with free webhostings) bother you, try configuring your browser to disable popups (if it supports) or search for free popup blockers on internet.

Web archaeologists interested in my earlier attempts at making personal homepage, can dig up Internet Archive and find traces like this 1999 snapshot.
